Rolemodels: The Battle for Vyk’tornaahl
This illustration is my contribution to Light Grey Art Lab’s super awesome Rolemodels art show and card game. The goal was to express our alter ego in the form of an RPG character. I’m so excited to participate in this show! It was so much fun creating my character and nerding out over my stats, but even more fun is looking at all the other more amazing illustrations by the other artists in the show. The Bogside Berserker
Is Ruairi truly mad? Oh yes, but being Bladebound to three Banshees will do that to you. With blood and death he feeds these Sídhe, and in return they ward him from harm and grant him ferocious strength, stamina and speed. Mortals however, shouldn’t live so close to the Otherworld. A lifetime feeding off their power, their constant tormented wails his only companions, have left him dangerously unstable.
I have a whole in-depth back-story for this character I’d love to eventually tell.
