Hero 08: Gundam Pilot Amuro Ray

Amuro Ray the Newtype pilot from the Mobile Suit Gundam series is the eighth hero in the Versus print series. I chose Amuro Ray as the subject for this print based on the words Blocky, Impenetrable, Secretive, and Riveting which were used to describe Fred’s Iron Man print, the seventh hero in the series. 3 color screenprint created using rubylith, photocopy and ink on velum. I tried something new with photocopy and oil to the burn screens for this one and I’m pretty happy with the results. Working without computers on these prints is really adding some more tools to my process.
